Atomic
fire leaps up over the hearts

The
heart of things and the indeterminate element:-
"I have tried", writes Ronald Knox
"to analyse my own reactions to the scientific view that there
is, after all, an indeterminate element at the heart of things;
to the prospect of an age in which possibilities of evil are
increased by an increase in the possibilities of destruction".
(God and the atom by Ronald Knox page 133)
Ronald Knox was concerned over the
indeterminate behaviour of the Radio-active atom that could
explode any moment at random and would thus affect the
established attitude of the trends of philosophy. This
indeterminateness, however, is a particular characteristic of
this atomic age. At random it is that the atomic war may start,
we are, however, interested in the above quoted passage of
Ronald Knox for the use of the phrase, "the heart of things".
Atomic Fission and the Leaping Up Over the Hearts:-
How the atomic fire leaps up unto the
hearts can be seen in the fission process of generating the
atomic energy. There a neutron which itself is an atomic
particle, that is atomic radiation energy that is atomic
radiation fire leaps up over the nucleus that is the heart of
the atom and knocks out two neutrons, which in turn attack the
nucleus of an atom each and each ejects two neutrons from the
nucleus attacked. The four neutrons then further attack the
nucleus of an atom each knocking out two neutrons each, and so
on so forth, the process proceeds till the whole lump of uranium
explodes. Each single fission thus generates energy in the heart
of atom. We have described the process called the fission chain
reaction, though our purpose is served by the description of a
single fission. The fission chain reaction in the case of the
reactor, however, remains under control and the explosion does
not take place, while energy is systematically generated. Thus
the tiny little embers of radioactive fire that is neutrons keep
on leaping over the hearts of the atoms and the generation of
the atomic energy continues. Radiations that are inherent in the
very nature of atomic energy are emitted and take to the same
attitude, for they also leap up unto the nuclei that are hearts
of atoms. They leap up unto the nuclei that is hearts of atoms.
They leap up unto the nuclei of the atoms of the inanimate
matter, and there by disturbing the order of the nuclei cause
transmutations of atoms, while in the living body they eject
nucleons from the nuclei of the atoms and they leap up unto the
nuclei of the cells and there break the chromosomes. The atomic
energy is more properly to be called the nuclear energy, and the
atomic radiations likewise are more properly to be called as
nuclear radiations, for both are concerned characteristically
and distinctively with the nucleus. Other types of energy have
to do nothing with the nucleus and in all their reactions the
atomic nuclei remain untouched and intact.
Atomic Fusion and the Leaping up Unto the Hearts:
In fusion process, the only other
process of atomic energy generation too, the rule of leaping up
over the hearts stands good. The difference only is that while
in the fission process the atomic nucleus is divided, in the
fusion process the nuclei of several small atoms are fused
together and the energy is liberated. For instance, four
hydrogen atoms are fused together to form one helium heart. The
case of the Hydrogen bomb which is the case of fusion affords a
very clear example of the leaping up over hearts. Intense heat
is required to fuse the atoms and a fission device is placed
within the hydrogen material. The fission device when detonated
creates intense heat which leaps up unto the nuclei of the atoms
of hydrogen material and fuses them.
Thermonuclear, the term, the process, and the Reminiscence:
The term thermonuclear is a marvel of
terminology, and the credit goes to the scientist for having
coined so wondrous a term, even more amazing is the role of the
Quran in this respect. The Quran has anticipated this term and
has kept it treasured, unfortunately though, without the
knowledge of the modern scientist, for about fourteen centuries,
the term Thermo-nuclear represents a process in which heat is
directed upon the nuclei of atoms to initiate nuclear reactions
therein. The scientists have called the fusion bomb the
thermo-nuclear bomb, because the thermonuclear process is
applied therein to cause the fusioning of the nuclei of the
fusile material. That is the heat produced by the fission bomb
is caused to impinge on the atoms of the fusion bomb in order to
cause the fusioning of the atoms of the fusile material. Thus we
see that the fusion of the atoms of the fusion bomb is caused by
the heat, and the heat supplied from a different source. But the
principle of leaping up over he hearts is there. The atomic fire
produced by the fission bomb impinges on the nuclei of the atoms
of the fusion bomb.
It will appear something
extraordinary to note that the term "thermonuclear" is the exact
translation of the words of the prophecy namely that
"Al-Hotama, is a fire which leaps up over the hearts", while
the thermonuclear process is the practical demonstration of the
words of the prophecy above quoted. Thermo means heat, and
nuclear is the adjective of nucleus. The meaning of this
particular structure of the term "thermonuclear" could be
deduced as "fire related to heart". Just as we have seen the
fire of the fission bomb related to the nuclei of the fusion
bomb in a fission bomb explosion. If men of medicine might
develop a process in which human heart would receive heat from
some external source, they may justly call the process as
"Thermo-Cardiac", for, the word " Cardiac" means "of the heart".
Likewise, if a reasonable identity is established between the
nucleus and the heart, the atomists may find justification in
the use of the term "Thermo-Cardiac", as a parallel substitute
for Thermo-nuclear. Let one thing, however, be remembered, that
is, no ordinary chemical fire could be used to bring about the
fusioning of hydrogen atoms, since temperatures of such high
order as are required for the fusioning of the atoms of the
fusile material can only be developed by the atomic fusion, and
hence it is necessarily the heat derived from atomic fission
that could serve the purpose of fusioning the nuclei of the
atoms of the fusile material. The anticipation of the term
Thermo-nuclear by the Quran, and the fact that the term
thermonuclear and the words of the Prophecy, namely, "a fire
that leaps up over the hearts", are one and the same thing,
being the translation of each other, and a wonder not to be
missed by a knowing scientist, and so also the ingenuity of the
scientist in contriving such a term as thermonuclear could
hardly miss the notice of any one who has an inkling of the
subject of the nuclear science.
The
Heat-flash of the atomic bomb explosion leaps up over the
hearts:-
The effect of the initial heat
radiation of the atomic bomb explosion (generally referred to as
heat-flash) on the human and mammalian body furnishes a
remarkably typical example of the peculiar
leaping-up-over-the-hearts, characteristic of the atomic fire.
The effect of the heat-flash completely overwhelms the heart of
the victim, and in certain cases (when the victim happens to be
close to ground zero) it kills the heart on the spot, yet
leaving it unburnt and unconsumed in the sense we generally
understand from the term burning. The heat-flash appearing
within a fraction of a second of detonation, and with a
brilliance far more dazzling than that of the sun, and
travelling at a speed of light (186,000 miles per second)
strikes like a flash at the bodies of those happening to be
exposed within the effective range of the atomic bomb explosion,
burning their skins in various degrees, and killing those
happening to be within a certain range about the grounds and
leaving others either to die within a few hours or escape death
with serious or minor burns of skin. This heat-flash does not
penetrate much beneath the skin, for, its duration is too short.
In case of a nominal kiloton bomb it is only about two seconds,
while in the case of high yield megaton bomb it is extended to
about twenty seconds. Despite its severity therefore the effect
of the heat-flash is confined to the skin of the victim. How
then it kills some of its victims on the spot? It kills its
victim on the spot by overwhelming the heart with heat and agony
and shock. There can be no doubt that the instantaneous death of
the victims of heat-flash is caused by the heart, the agony, and
the shock. We can here hardly think any necessity of going into
any discussions of the pathological indications. The case is
clear-cut. The effect of shock is observable in an irradiated
mammal or human being.
(FThe
atomic radiations leap up over the nuclei (hearts):
After it has been seen that the
atomic fire leaps up over the nuclei of the atoms in the process
of the generation of the atomic energy, and also that the heat
of the fission bomb leaps up over the nuclei of the atoms of the
fusile material of the fusion bomb, we further observe that the
atomic radiations leap up over the nuclei (hearts) of the atoms
that constitute the molecules of the body through which these
radiations happen to pass. Radiations also leap up over the
nuclei of the cells of the body. The reactions of the nuclear
radiations, whether these radiations are emitted during the
generation of the atomic energy, or whether they are emitted by
the fission products of the atomic energy, a bomb explosion,
take place within the electrons as well as the nuclei of the
atoms while passing through a body. Radiations ionize the atoms
that constitute the molecules of the body through which they
pass, they ionize the molecules of the water content of the
mammalian bodies--- the water content of the mammalian bodies
being above 75 percent---they go in head-long collision with the
nuclei of the atoms they come in contact with, ejecting
therefrom nucleons, and they attack and mount above the nuclei
of the cells, both botanical and biological, and break the
chromosomes of the nuclei of the cells, killing thereby the
cells. The chromosomes being the strings of the nucleus of a
cell, could well be called as heart-strings of the cell, and so
it could be said that the fire of atomic radiations has mounted
above the heart (nucleus) of the cell. These broken strings
(Chromosomes) of the heart of the cell can be seen under the
microscope. Radiations mount above the heart of both the basic
building block of the universe that is atom and the basic unit
of life, that is the cell.To wit that they strike at the very
heart of life and existence of the creation. The one word around
which the whole theme of the nuclear science, and so also that
of the atomic radiations revolves is "Nucleus", which is the
exact synonym of the word "Heart".
The
Thought of Atomic Energy and Atomic Bombs seizes the Heart of
entire mankind:-
The most assiduously guarded secret
of atomic energy, in the beginning of the affair leaked out from
the laboratories of the US and seized the heart of humanity,
inspiring it with dread as well as passion. Dread of its
horrible destruction and passion for its possession. Gradually
the idea of atomic energy became a universal craze. So intense
is the passion of mankind for the atomic energy, today that
every trace of serenity, sagacity, and contentment has been
expelled from the human mind. Every window that could afford a
glimpse of the frightful hazards and calamities incident on the
adoption of a thing like atomic energy is closed and therefore
the horrific vision of the impending catastrophe that lurks in
the wake of the atomic energy potential has been rendered
invisible to the human eye. Yet in the inmost depths of the
human mind the temptation of the atomic energy potential and the
hazards incident on the atomic-energy-for-peace, and the
terrific possibilities of the atomic war seem to vie with each
other for the possession of the human mind.
Every nation on earth today, however,
is hankering after atomic reactors and processing plants, and
all the world at present is clamouring for atomic energy inspite
of the hazards, for, the impelling force of the necessity is
overwhelming. The consideration of necessity has quelled every
other consideration within the mind of man, and the apprehension
of hunger and poverty has blotted out every other apprehension.
Mankind despite its apprehension of the ruinous consequences is
at present being forced into the adoption of the
atomic-energy-for-peace by the economic, industrial and military
necessity. The mind of the entire mankind now, it seems is
struggling helpless in the grip of the inexorable doom of atomic
ruin.
The
Secret of the Global Radiological Hazard leaps up over the heart
of the atomic Powers along with the entire mankind:-
The news of Hiroshima had once
convulsed the entire world, though something even worse was as
yet to be heard. The tragic news came in the form of the global
radiological hazard of the fallout of the hydrogen bomb on the
event of the test explosion of the hydrogen bomb at Bikini Atoll
in 1954. Although every feasible measure was adopted to keep the
test explosion of the hydrogen bomb as a secret yet the
inscrutable providence of God disclosed it, and the disclosure
caused a shock to the world opinion that out-rivaled the shock
even that was of the hydrogen bomb itself. A secret which but
for the presence of a Japanese fishing boat in the vicinity of
the test explosion might for long have remained secret was
revealed to the horror of the world at large. Another gust of
the atomic fire had mounted above their hearts. The shock to the
atomic powers, however, was of a particular kind and in a way
more grievous. That day could have been befittingly named as the
day of weeping and mourning for the atomic powers. It is then
that they had realized that their atomic bombs, no matter in
what part of the world they were detonated were equally
dangerous even to themselves. The tragedy, however, was
discovered only accidentally like that of X-rays and the
Radio-activity. But what a tragedy. A tragedy over which the
tragedy itself would weep. It was revealed to mankind that none
that lived beneath this blue canopy and over this global earth
was safe from the global radiological hazard of the fallout of
the hydrogen bomb. The scientists soon declared that if these
test explosions in the world exceeded a certain limit, so much
Radio-active substance will have been spread all over the earth
that will constitute a serious, rather irreparably ruinous
hazard to the health of the entire mankind. The heat of these
successive shocks served only to increase the intensity and the
magnitude of the atomic fire in the heart of mankind.
The story of the discovery of the
hazard of the fallout of the hydrogen bomb goes that, a Japanese
fishing boat by the name of Fakery Mara (lucky dragon) with 23
fishermen on board was anchored seventy one miles
east-north-east of Bikini Atoll, the test site for the
thermonuclear bomb) and fourteen miles outside the restricted
areas of the US Atomic Energy Commission's Pacific Testing
grounds. On the morning of March 1 at 6.12 A.M, the crew of the
boat saw flashes of fire, bright as the sun itself, rising into
the sky, someone yelled to men below, "the sun is rising in a
strange fashion. Hurry up and see it. But soon realized that it
could not be the sun, for the light was coming from the West.
Alas, the sun was not actually rising, but the sun of humanity
was setting for ever, and never to rise again. It was at this
moment that they first felt fear and thought of PICADON (the
Japanese word for the atomic bomb). The glow continued for
several ninutes -- two to three --- then the yellow seemed to
fade away, leaving the dull red, like that of a piece of iron
cooling in the air. The sounds of the explosion came about six
minutes later. There were two of them, and they went like the
sounds if many thunders rolled into one. The crew felt no
concussion but the boat did seem to roll to starboard, as if she
was trying to ward off some blow. Then a pyramid shaped cloud
began to form. How high it went, none of the fishermen knew,
because none could see it stop, as it bellowed up and up into
the sky. The cloud went through a series of a strange bursts and
flashes, that included nearly every colours in the spectrum-red,
orange, violet, greenish blue. The colours gradually faded and
the sky was cleared again. Against the sky a trailing thin cloud
appeared. The fishermen returned to their nets.
About three hours after the
explosion, a fine white dust, or ash-like talc began to fall.
The fishermen became warm and they thought as if they were
glowing. The ash had entered the eyes and nostrils of some of
them. The frightened crew sailed back to Japan and after
fourteen days the ill-fated vessel arrived in Yaizu harbour,
contaminated with Radio-activity. When the crew revealed that
they had become ill near ENIWETOCH, Japanese radiation
specialists were called in. Before the fortunate Dragon's Cargo
of TUNA could be imported for inspection, much of it was taken
ashore in Japan and sold. When it was disclosed that the men,
the boat, and the cargo of TUNA were "hot" with Radioactivity,
japan reacted sensationally. The resultant campaign to track
down and destroy the Fortunate dragon's TUNA Cargo touched off
one of the biggest flash scars in Japan's history.
The news of the tragic incident
spread over the earth like a flash, and it was then realized
that no one in the world was ever safe from the radiological
hazard of the atomic bombs, not even the owners of the largest
stock-piles, those staunch believers-rather deluded
believers--in the deterring effects of their giant bombs. It was
observed that the fallout of the high-yield bombs would rise to
the height of twenty miles in the stratosphere, and there riding
the prevailing currents of air would move around the earth for
about ten years, gradually settling out on earth to contaminate
the whole surface of the earth with radio-activity and
constitute a grievous hazard to health and life of mankind. It
was thus proved that the atomic bomb was not a weapon of defence,
but it rather was a means of complete annihilation of life on
earth. It was in 1955 that the atomists had declared that when
the number of test explosions reached five times the number of
test explosions that had by then been conducted; the factor of
radio-activity would constitute a very serious hazard to the
entire mankind. This timely warning, however, had never been
heeded to by the denizens of earth, and ever since the test
explosions have continued without any restraint or without any
pangs of conscience. And because hitherto no such effects of
radio-activity have been manifested among the present
generation, the denizens of this earth would not care for any
consequences that would appear in some future generation. It is
difficult for them to sense the future effects of their preset
suicide. Their global, world-wide and universal suicide.
